Homelife Therapy
Does your house feel like a home?
When life feels overwhelming, your living environment should feel like your sanctuary. I offer counselling that explores the emotional impact of whatever place you call home.Step one is a five-minute, multiple-choice, mini self-assessment quiz. There’s no scoring, just space to be honest. Your result reflects your current experience, not a fixed label. You might be surprised at what surfaces when you pause to consider your surroundings more closely. It's especially useful during times of change — if you've recently moved, live far from your place of origin, or sometimes feel disconnected from your surroundings.

About
I’m a therapist with a background in architecture — and someone who has also relocated and reshaped my own sense of home and purpose along the way.I understand how our environments can both support and challenge our emotional wellbeing.I offer online sessions to clients across Australia and internationally — including South Africa, where I’m originally from.My approach is person-centred therapy: warm, conversational, and practical.Together, we explore how your living environment is impacting you — whether you're living alone or with others, renting, owning, sharing, or staying with family and friends.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who do you work with?
Adults of all ages - in all kinds of living situations - city, regional, or rural. All you need is an internet connection.
Is this counselling or interior design?
This is counselling — the focus is on how you feel in your space. We might chat about small changes you could try, but this isn’t a design service. My background in architecture simply helps me understand how space and emotion can influence one another.
What if I rent, or share my home and can’t change much?
That’s completely okay. Many of my clients rent or live in shared spaces — we work with what’s possible within your circumstances.
Do you offer reduced rates or sliding scale pricing?
Yes — I reserve a number of sliding scale places for clients who need a lower rate, including those living outside of Australia, where currency exchange makes full-fee sessions more difficult. If this applies to you, feel free to mention it, and I’ll do my best to accommodate where possible.
How long does therapy usually last?
There’s no one-size-fits-all. Some clients find two or three sessions helpful for working through a specific situation, while others prefer ongoing support over time.We can start slowly, see how it feels, and go from there — there’s no pressure or fixed commitment.

What Brings People Here
Migration
❝I thought starting fresh in a new country would feel exciting — and it is, sometimes. But there are days the silence in my apartment feels more oppressive than peaceful. I didn’t realise how much I relied on familiar sounds, smells, even certain kinds of light. Where I live now feels safe, but it doesn't yet feel like my home.❞
Working From Home
❝The boundaries got so blurry. I used to commute, chat in the kitchen at work, leave it all behind at 5pm. Now, I close my laptop… and I’m still here. Same desk. Same couch. Same feeling that I haven’t really ‘arrived home’ at all.❞
Shared Spaces
❝I stay in my room most of the time — not because I want to, but because it’s the only place that feels somewhat mine. I tiptoe around others. I don’t decorate much. It’s like I’ve made myself smaller just to fit in.❞
